Who the **** are Bolton Wanderers

To be fair I haven't got much love for Bolton. However their appointment of Gary Megson surely is one of the most bizzare appointments of the season. True Bolton have a bit of history and are by virtue of Sam Allardyce's hard work last season, in Europe this term. However it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. Man U they aint. They aren't even serious contenders to Everton. Blackburn and Bolton are average sized Lancashire clubs who despite having a good run at things over the last 8 or so years in Boltons case, are not going to sustain any period of long lasting supremacy over the rest of the league. That is why Sony have invented the playstation. This alows the fan to create the dream of dominance for their chosen team. Alas, Saturday returns to bring them back down to earth.
Bolton (ironically much like Leicester before them) are experiencing the struggle. Big Sam was the sustaining power in Bolton and we all knew it. Charlton too struggled when they lost Curbishley and it was always going to be difficult once Big Sam tendered his resignation- you could see Bolton going the same way. Martin O'Neill similarly at Leicester who at least one a couple of League Cups. There is much cause for Bolton fans to be concerned.
With Anelka and Diof they have tempremental talents which can just as easily sulk away from the challenge as rise to it some days. How long until one or both of them decide to ask for a transfer? We could talk about mercenaries but that is another post.
So enter the fray Gary Megson. Twice a promotion winner with West Brom - twice a failure at Prem level with the Baggies too. Maybe he has been unlucky since, maybe his work at West Brom was his Opus. Time will tell.
Every Bolton fan has a right to an opinion but to welcome him last night with "Who the **** is Gary Megson" chants quite simply is astonishing.
These are fans of the club who for 20 years prior to Big Sam had a crap old ground and no achievments to speak of at all. Megsons achievements to date may not be great but Bolton is not a big club, and now it's right in the mire at the wrong end of the Premiership and I'm afraid that beggars cant be choosers my friends.
Who else would want that job? Souness will go perhaps to Ireland, Steve Bruce and Chris Coleman are possibly happier for money and climate respectively where they are.
Given the fans backing for the new man they've got possibly more than they deserve.
Before Big Sam turned up people used to ask "Who the *** are Bolton Wanderers"
Trotters fans Give Gary Megson your support. The lads in white certainly need it...
and like it or not you're in it together now.

Not so Jol-ly now

So changes are proposed. What if this and what if that…..There is a need to know basis on the specifics of what is being considered.

However if the cat is let out of the bag then you should be swifter in making a decision and sticking to it. This has obviously escaped the directors of Tottenham Hotspur Football club. Martin Jols end began a long time ago - maybe even before the season start - though quite how it is possible to finish 5th behind big spenders Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U and be considered a failure I will never know.

If openly going to Spain and having public discussions with Ramoz hadn't sounded the warning shots across Jol then what transpired last night was riduculous.

Leeking information which was confirmed during the game that Jol had resigned, but that the players and even Chris Houghton did not know, was absurd. The game lacked what Spurs needed - the win against a Getafe side who must have only dreamed of coming away with a win beforehand. The fans gradually found out and sang the praises of their departing boss. Then post match - no interviews no comments only served to indicate that Spurs are a club behind the scenes more disorganised than the team on the pitch were. Not only have they made themselves look a completely unprofessional and at times farcical business they have also short changed the fans by wasting the first three months of this season with a manager that they did not intend to keep.

Martin Jol possibly did tenure his resignation because quite frankly not many people would put up with what he has over the last 8 weeks.
