Not so Jol-ly now

So changes are proposed. What if this and what if that…..There is a need to know basis on the specifics of what is being considered.

However if the cat is let out of the bag then you should be swifter in making a decision and sticking to it. This has obviously escaped the directors of Tottenham Hotspur Football club. Martin Jols end began a long time ago - maybe even before the season start - though quite how it is possible to finish 5th behind big spenders Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U and be considered a failure I will never know.

If openly going to Spain and having public discussions with Ramoz hadn't sounded the warning shots across Jol then what transpired last night was riduculous.

Leeking information which was confirmed during the game that Jol had resigned, but that the players and even Chris Houghton did not know, was absurd. The game lacked what Spurs needed - the win against a Getafe side who must have only dreamed of coming away with a win beforehand. The fans gradually found out and sang the praises of their departing boss. Then post match - no interviews no comments only served to indicate that Spurs are a club behind the scenes more disorganised than the team on the pitch were. Not only have they made themselves look a completely unprofessional and at times farcical business they have also short changed the fans by wasting the first three months of this season with a manager that they did not intend to keep.

Martin Jol possibly did tenure his resignation because quite frankly not many people would put up with what he has over the last 8 weeks.
